the government knows what it's doing. the cost of being unable to work due to long term illness or disability doesn't get lower just because you're aged 18-22. dealing with disability often comes with extra costs, no matter your age. the government is stripping these payments from a small slice of the population because they know it'll create less outrage than targeting everyone, and they think they can get away with it. doubly so because they're picking on the youngest, who have the least experience and confidence in advocating for themselves. this is class warfare. our government is forcing disabled and long term ill people into deeper poverty while the capitalist class gets ever wealthier

BBC PIECE REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE "ISRAEL" RESPONSIBLE FOR MURDER OF FOREIGN AID WORKERS

📹 Footage from a BBC piece covering the deaths of 7 foreign aid workers with the World Central Kitchen (WCK) in an Israeli airstrike refuses to mention "Israel" as the party responsible for the slaughter.

The piece dances around ever mentioning the party responsible for the airstrike, instead discussing the "deaths" of the 7 foreign aid workers in "an airstrike". Even though Palestinian resistance forces do not possess such capabilities.

The piece even mentions how WCK coordinated its movements with the "IDF" (Israeli occupation forces [IOF]) but fails to connect the coordination with the murderous airstrike itself, choosing to avoid any mention of Zionist responsibility for the murder of the aid workers, which included British, Australian and Polish nationals, along with a dual U.S.-Canadian citizen and one Palestinian.

If you are in the UK, another thing you can do is sign this petition and contact your MP in support of MP Zarah Sultana’s bill to stop UK sales of arms to Isreal and any other state that might use them for war crimes.

Since 2015, the UK government has made arms sales to Isreal worth £474 MILLION. These sales include parts of the F-35 fighter jets currently being used in the genocide of Palestinians.

British University Issues Trigger Warning on Greek Mythology

"Women should just be okay with reading about brutal sexual violence against women because it's a classic that's thousands of years old" is such a privileged Man perspective.

Just because it doesn't bother you to read about it doesn't mean everyone will be okay with it too -- especially not people who have personally experienced such violence in real life.

Saying "Hey, heads up, ancient depictions of how women were treated -- especially during war -- can get super duper gnarly and horrific. Take a mental health break when you need it" is just being kind and realistic.

When writing a capstone essay for my undergrad about Indian Residential Schools I had to take constant breaks because of the way kids were treated according to the Truth and Reconciliation Council's findings. It has to do with empathy, not weakness. Some people can read about a kid getting flogged in front of their peers in order to be an example for anyone thinking of trying to escape, but I can't.

Now imagine going into a class that talks about that kind of thing constantly but having no warning about it. If anything, it's irresponsible to NOT have the warning.

in truth, that happens to every industry as capitalist competition leaves only huge players to dominate the market. capitalism just rips people off and mail isn't exempt from that
